Mariachi is a musical tradition that has come to symbolize Mexico and its culture. The genre has the power to stir the soul and ignite an uncontrollable passion inside the very depths of the heart. From the sound of the very first note, one automatically conjures up images of folklore and tradition. The ear has no choice but to bathe itself with the brassy, bold sounds of the trumpet; the soft and romantic pitch of the violin; the ever-present guitarron; the pearly vihuela; and the strong, emotional voice of the singer.

Mariachi Tradicion Mexicana is proud to be the cultural ambassador of this 100+ year old tradition. Because of this, we have made it our purpose to carry the folklore of Mexico into the new millennium. In 2001, I was inspired to form Mariachi Tradicion Mexicana to preserve the integrity and quality of such a rich and cultural musical expression. I am determined in bringing Northern California an authentic portrait of what Mariachi music represents so that everyone can enjoy this wonderful music.

Since its beginnings, Mariachi Tradicion Mexicana has had members that share this philosophy. Since then the versatility and the professionalism of the group has only grown stronger due to the great talent that exists within the group. All of our members are reliable, skillful, young individuals who have dedicated their lives to the exposure and preservation of this beautiful music. It is through this discipline that we are able to make Mariachi Tradicion Mexicana a one of a kind band!
